Even if you are not interested in baseball, you must have heard of Louisville Slugger, a leading brand for baseball bats. Since its debut in the hand of the greatest players in 1884, Louisville Slugger has accumulated an abundant experience in making bats and still sticks to the commitment to offering quality bats for each game.
In 1996, Louisville Slugger Museum was opened in downtown Louisville, to showcase the retrospective of the products as well as of baseball in general. In 2006, the name was changed to Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory to better display the overall experience of this venue.
Baseball-loving visitors can never miss this attraction. To get you fully-prepared, we will offer a detailed travel guide for this place, covering hours, tickets, directions and many more. There is no need to search around, just follow our steps and secure a hassle-free tour.
Hours
Throughout the year of 2011, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is opened from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday, 12 am to 5 pm on Sunday, and closed on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Please note that July 1 through August 14, the museum is operated until 6 pm!
The guided Bat Production Tour starts at 9 am daily and the last tour of the day sets out one hour before the closing. Each factory tour lasts nearly 25 minutes and visitors have the chance to see how the bats are made. And every guest can receive a miniature souvenir bat at the end of the tour.
