Louisville Recreation and senior center built in the year 1990 is a 57, 400 square foot facility with a number of facilities for meetings, seniors and fitness activities. The main aim of this center is to provide the community with recreational activities during their leisure hours that will alleviate their efforts to relax mentally, physically, emotionally and enhance their social well-being.
The number of facilities offered by this center is a diving pool, foot water slide, splash down pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room, weight rooms, gymnasium, cardiovascular training area, fitness studio, senior center, outdoor playground, child care, sand volleyball court, locker rooms, 10 lap per mile indoor track, indoor cycling facilities, skate park, four outdoor lighted tennis courts, and much more.
The recreational events are conducted throughout the year for both youngsters and adults providing opportunities for fun and entertainment at one place.
Other centers and related facilities in Louisville Recreation and Senior Center are Louisville Center for Arts, Memory Square Pool and Steinbaugh Pavilion.
The center has a number of fitness and wellness activities that are provided by the state-of-the-art facility and is offering with latest facilities like free weight, circuit weight and cardiovascular equipment for the guests.
Some of the fit zone classes will include group cycling, yoga, kickboxing, Pilates and many other drop-in classes. In addition, the classes of recreation that are offered are hiking in summer and fall, marathon and triathlon training classes with yoga and per-natal yoga classes.
Some of the adult activities provided in the center are dog obedience, boulder bloder training and tennis.
