
A True Lover of Baseball? Take a Tour to Louisville Baseball Park
Louisville Baseball Park was one of the prominent baseball grounds that were located in the city of Louisville, in the state of Kentucky. The ground was infamous and was home to the Louisville Grays of the National League from the 1876 to 1877. The property later belonged to the upper class neighborhood known as St. James Court.
The court had their home team though was Louisville Grays was unfortunately burnt down in the 1880s. This park was known to have been modeled after the Hartford Ball Club Grounds with a grandstand to hold about 1,000 and bleachers to be seated in about 3,500.
The Louisville Baseball Park has now turned to be the St. James Court, and Louisville Slugger Field is the home for Louisville Bats and is one of the major attractions for the minor league baseball team in Louisville. The stadium has something for all the fans of baseball bats with their retro classic design and has been the most admired baseball park.
Touring one of these leagues fields is a real pleasure during off-season and is fun watching the players practice during season. The field reflects the historical look of Louisville baseball, while the tours begin from the Hall of Fame Pavillion, which will include a view of the Bats luxury site, press box, operations rooms, clubhouse and dugouts. You will not be charged more than a dollar for the tour and the torus are only for a group of ten or more and has to be prearranged.
